First Gogo Galileo installed in Brazil

Aircraft connectivity company Gogo said it has installed first Galileo connectivity system in Brazil on a Bombardier Global 6000.
“The customer specifically sought to incorporate a LEO solution into the aircraft, recognising its cost advantages, while still delivering exceptional performance. Travelling both within Brazil but also internationally, the aircraft owner wanted to keep their Gogo Plane Simple system to ensure multi-orbit redundancy,” explains Ewerton Libanio, managing director of Gogo Brazil.
Gogo said the owner of the Bombardier Global 6000 chose to add the new system to achieve multi-orbit connectivity.
The aircraft already had a Gogo Plane Simple antenna running on a geostationary earth orbit (GEO) satellite system. The owner chose to add low earth orbit (LEO) connectivity to ensure redundancy and constant reliable coverage worldwide.
Líder Aviação has now completed the installation of a Gogo Galileo HDX electronically steered antenna (ESA) powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb enterprise-grade LEO network.
Gogo’s multi-orbit model dynamically chooses the best available network in real time, ensuring a more reliable, resilient connection with fewer dropouts and consistent high-speed performance.
