Gulfstream Aerospace has appointed Matt Davies as director of service centre operations at its Farnborough facility in the UK.

As well as Airinmar, Davies has also held roles with Honeywell Aerospace and GE Aircraft Engine Services and is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Effective immediately, Davies will oversee all Farnborough Service Center operations. Davies brings nearly 30 years of aviation experience, much of it with Airinmar, an AAR company that specialises in management services of aircraft and component maintenance for airlines, airframe manufacturers and MRO firms. He most recently served as general manager at Airinmar.

“Matt’s extensive experience and leadership make him an excellent addition to our Farnborough team and an important resource for our UK and regional customers,” said Lor Izzard, senior vice president, Gulfstream Customer Support. “He will play a key role in continuing to deliver the quality of service and customer experience that define Gulfstream’s worldwide support network.”

The Farnborough Service Center is one of Gulfstream’s most modern. The 225,000sqft (20,903sqm) facility opened in 2020 and can accommodate up to 13 of Gulfstream’s larger aircraft.  It is 20 minutes by helicopter from London, the home of Gulfstream’s newly redesigned London Sales and Design Center. Located in Mayfair, the showroom is a 30-minute drive from London Heliport.

Last week, Gulfstream hit the 200 delivery mark for the Gulfstream G600, reaching the milestone a little over two years after it made its 100th delivery. The 200th aircraft was outfitted in St Louis and delivered to a North America-based customer, the company reported.
