CAT Aviation appoints Thomas Hauser as chief commercial officer

CAT Aviation has appointed Thomas Hauser as chief commercial officer. 

Approaching its 40th anniversary in 2027, the Swiss business aviation firm said it is looking ahead to its next chapter with his appointment. According to a press release, it is not about changing course, but about building on the “knowledge, relationships and reputation” developed over the past 39 years while continuing to evolve for the future. 

Helene Niedhart, founder and CEO, CAT Aviation, said: “As we approach 40 years of CAT Aviation, it feels like a natural moment to think not only about what we have built, but about what comes next. Thomas brings new energy and a fresh perspective to the team, while sharing the values that have always been important to CAT Aviation. This isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about building on almost four decades of experience and continuing to evolve with our clients and our industry.”

Hauser brings a background spanning business aviation, business development and luxury hospitality. Before joining CAT, he spent five years in charter brokerage and business development, including opening the Zurich office of LunaJets and working as MD for the DACH region. Earlier in his career, he worked in client-facing roles within luxury hotels in London and Lucerne.

Approaching 40 years in this industry says a lot about the relationships, knowledge and trust the company has built. I see my role as bringing a fresh perspective to that foundation. I want to combine my experience in hospitality, charter brokerage and business development with the expertise already within CAT Aviation, and work together as a team to shape what comes next.”
