Mente Group appoints Zach Ungerleider as director of technical services
Ungerleider's expertise includes technical operations, maintenance programme management and customer support across a wide range of business aircraft.
Mente Group has added Zach Ungerleider as director of Technical Services.
In his new role, Ungerleider reports to Steve Main, chief revenue officer of Mente Group.
“Zach’s unique combination of technical expertise, maintenance leadership and aftermarket experience makes him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Main. “He understands the operational and ownership challenges our clients face and brings the hands-on knowledge and industry relationships that will strengthen the value we deliver every day.”
Ungerleider brings more than 15 years of aviation experience spanning aircraft maintenance, engineering and aftermarket sales.
An NBAA Top 40 Under 40 recipient, Ungerleider holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate as well as a private pilot licence with instrument, high-performance and complex endorsements. He has performed maintenance on 36 different models of aircraft and previously served as director of maintenance for multiple Cessna Citations.
Ungerleider also has extensive aftermarket sales experience with Textron Aviation and Honeywell Aerospace. At Textron, he managed ProAdvantage Programs, maintenance and aftermarket modifications. At Honeywell Aerospace, he represented the MSP (maintenance service plan) portfolio for HTF7000, TFE731 and CFE738 engines.
He earned an undergraduate degree in aviation business administration and is completing his MBA at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
The announcement follows the recent promotion of Jay Bushouse to senior managing director. Based in Kansas City, Bushouse has 25 years of aviation and sales experience, spanning aircraft sales, operations, and client advisory.
