Legacy 500 is certified for London City Airport

The Embraer Legacy 500 business jet has gained its certification for landing at London City Airport.

On 19 May 2016, a Flexjet Legacy 500 completed the required landings to obtain its landing certificate for the airport. The Flexjet Legacy 500 was recently delivered to the US based company, it was the fourth example delivered to them but was also a landmark aircraft as it was the 1,000th business jet built by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer.

Embraer and Flexjet held a ceremony on 20 May 2016, where the Legacy 500 was shown to members of the aviation and related press.

The aircraft will be in the static display at EBACE 2016.

Embraer released a short video on the landing, with Marco Tulio Pellegrini, CEO of Embraer Business Jets and Ray Jones, CEO of Flexjet flying on the aircraft on the short journey from Farnborough to City Airport on 20 May 2016.
