Hop-A-Jet adds Cessna Citation X to managed fleet

Hop-A-Jet said the Citation X's performance profile makes it well suited for passengers flying between major business and leisure destinations.
Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter has added a Cessna Citation X to its managed fleet.
Traditionally managing Bombardier aircraft, the addition marks a diversification for the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based operator.
A super-midsize business jet, the Citation X is regarded as one of the fastest civilian aircraft in business aviation, with a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.9 (528kts). Hop-A-Jet said it will use the aircraft for both domestic and international charter trips.
“The Citation X gives clients more flexibility when speed and performance matter,” said Barry Ellis, president of Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter. “For travellers, it’s one of the most capable aircraft in its class, and for owners, it reflects our continued commitment to supporting a broader range of aircraft through our management, maintenance and flight services.”
The aircraft has a certified altitude ceiling of 51,000ft, and a range of about 3,140nm depending on conditions and configuration.
Inside, the Citation X features a 24ft cabin and eight club seats. Its typical configuration accommodates small groups travelling with both personal luggage and work materials, while luggage capacity is generous enough to handle up to 12 pieces of baggage, including golf clubs, skis, or trade show equipment.
Hop-A-Jet said the aircraft arrives during a period of continued growth, as it expands its services to accommodate more flights across domestic and select longer-range routes. It also reflects Hop-A-Jet’s continued investment in maintenance programmes, pilot training and operational support for the Citation platform.
