Gulfstream hits double milestone as G700 Clocks 100th delivery, speed record

The G700 can cover 7,750nm at Mach 0.85 or 6,650nm at Mach 0.90, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935.

Gulfstream Aerospace achieved a twin landmark with its G700 completing the aircraft’s 100th customer delivery and its 100th city-pair speed record on the same day.

The milestone speed record connected Savannah with San Jose, California, in 4 hours and 36 minutes at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.91, before the same aircraft pushed on to Teterboro, New Jersey, covering that leg in 4 hours and 14 minutes at the same speed.

The G700 has now earned certification in more than 20 countries and has accumulated a pilot community of over 700 type-rated aviators trained through FlightSafety International.

On the flight deck, the G700 runs Gulfstream’s Symmetry Flight Deck, which combines active control sidesticks with the industry’s most extensive use of touchscreen technology and Phase-of-Flight intelligence to reduce pilot workload.

In the cabin, Gulfstream positions the G700 as the roomiest in its class, with 20 panoramic oval windows, 100% fresh air circulation and the industry’s lowest cabin altitudes at high cruising elevations.
