Thoroughbred Aviation has appointed Spencer Mitchell as its new president.

The acquisitions, sales and consultancy firm said that recent growth has enabled it to restructure its leadership team. Nathan Winkle, founder and CEO, Thoroughbred Aviation said that since joining as a partner in 2020, Mitchell has been a “key player in a crowded marketplace”.

“When Spencer came on board, he had a very clear and strategic vision about how he wanted to implement and develop a singular approach to the brokerage world here at Thoroughbred,” said Winkle. “Since then, he has executed and grown that vision and we would not be where we are without it. Our leadership structure needed to reflect Thoroughbred Aviation’s and Spencer’s impact.”

Mitchell joins the leadership team alongside Winkle, Melanie Winkle as controller and co-founder, and Lee Brewster as vice president.

I am honoured to be appointed president of Thoroughbred Aviation,” said Mitchell. “With an incredible team by my side, we are poised to redefine private aviation transactions. I am grateful for the trust of our clients, partners, and stakeholders as we embark on this exciting chapter together.”
