Signature Flight Support names Maria Sastre as president and COO
Sastre takes over at Signature as president and chief operating officer responsible for the worldwide FBO network.
BBA Aviation Flight Support announced the promotion of Maria Sastre to president and chief operating officer for Signature Flight Support Corporation. Sastre will be responsible for the daily operations of Signature’s worldwide network of fixed base operations (FBOs) and maintenance centers.
Sastre commented on her new role, “I am proud of the entire global Signature Flight Support team. We have been able to achieve much in the last three years and I am committed to the continued growth and expansion of Signature’s global network. Prior to joining Signature in 2009, Sastre was vice president, International, Latin America, Caribbean and Asia and Vice President of Operations, Royal Caribbean Cruises. Sastre reports to S. Michael Scheeringa, president and CEO of BBA Aviation’s Flight Support division which includes Signature Flight Support Corporation and Aircraft Service International Group Inc. (ASIG).
