Oriens creates new role of chairman

Oriens AdvisorsOriens Advisors
has restructured its management team. The
move is in response to a growing client portfolio and recent changes in its
operating strategy.

Edwin Brenninkmeyer, takes the role of chief
executive officer at its London
Biggin Hill
Airport offices. Edwin’s
key responsibilities will involve overseeing corporate governance of the
company and developing the ongoing business strategy to ensure focus on the
entry level jet market. Michael Ricks, also an Oriens founder, becomes chief
operating officer responsible for the business operations, along with
supporting growth and development of the company both in Europe
and further afield.

A new role of chairman has been created and this is
filled by Archie Garden,
the third founder, who was recently appointed airport director at Cambridge Airport.  The appointment followed
his leadership of an Oriens advisory services engagement for The Marshall
Group. Archie remains a non-executive director on the board and will continue
to support strategic development of Oriens on an ongoing basis (l to r  Michael Ricks, Archie Garden and Edwin Brenninkmeyer)

“The Oriens portfolio has expanded significantly
since its inception and now embraces airports, operators, and new ventures. We
also had a successful consultancy period with The Marshall Group, which led to
Archie’s appointment as airport director and we are now working with Marshall
Executive Aviation as a result,” says Brenninkmeyer.

Robert Marshall, chief operating officer of The
Marshall Group, which with the support of Oriens recently delineated Cambridge Airport from the Marshall Engineering
Division says, “We hired Oriens Advisors to help us de-couple the airport from
the engineering activities. This has been done painlessly and effectively with
the result that Cambridge
Airport is now poised for
significant growth as a business aviation centre.”

Oriens continues to be affiliated with Gates Aviation
who specialise in aviation safety, security, risk management and emergency
response planning so complementing the Oriens’ skill set. In the USA they partner with InterflightGlobal in Miami who support their business activity and clients in
the North Americas.
