Gulfstream names Jay Neely as vice president of law and public affairs

Gulfstream promotes John “Jay” Neely after 15 years at the company.
Gulfstream has appointed John “Jay” Neely to head the company’s legal department and take on responsibility for state and local public affairs.
Based in Savannah, Georgina, Neely will report to Ira Berman, senior vice president, administration and general counsel. Neely has worked at Gulfstream since 1999, joining as assistant general counsel, after serving in the Atlanta office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, LLP.
“Jay has been a leader in Gulfstream’s legal department for nearly 15 years,” said Berman. “Having interacted directly with suppliers and customers on an ongoing basis, he has a deep understanding of our constituents’ needs. In his new role, he will advocate for the best public policies for our customers, suppliers and our business.
As vice president, law and public affairs, Neely will be responsible for all attorneys and personnel in Gulfstream’s legal department. Neely earned his juris doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
