The Gulfstream service centre in Westfield, Mass has extended it operating hours by adding an overnight shift weekdays from Monday to Friday.

Gulfstream Westfield engineerGulfstream Aerospace
announced that its company-owned service centre in Westfield, Mass.,
has extended its hours of operation. The facility at Barnes Regional
Airport now has an
overnight shift from Monday through Friday.

Gulfstream Westfield, is located
approximately 97 miles from Boston and 130 miles
from the New York
metro area, offers a full range of services, including aircraft-on-ground (AOG)
support, airframe inspections, avionics installations and interior
refurbishments.

Facility technicians are certified to work on large and
mid-cabin Gulfstream aircraft along with Hawker Beechcraft, Dassault Falcon and
Bombardier Challenger business jets.

“Westfield’s
extended hours will ensure that our customers receive the best support possible
while traveling in the Northeast US, the
busiest corridor in the world for Gulfstream aircraft,” said Mark Burns,
president, Gulfstream Product Support.  “Our Westfield staff is certified to work on
nearly 500 aircraft based within approximately 150 miles of the facility,
including more than 200 Gulfstream jets. Adding to the demand for service is a
significant amount of transient Gulfstream and non-Gulfstream traffic.”

In May 2012, Gulfstream
broke ground on a hangar at the site that will sit adjacent to the existing service
hangar.  The new hangar is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2013
and will result in at least 100 additional product support-related jobs at
Gulfstream Westfield.
