Execaire Aviation has become the first business aviation operator in Canada to secure Transport Canada approval for Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required (RNP AR) approach operations, doing so on the Bombardier Global 7500.

“This milestone not only reflects the expertise and dedication of our flight operations and safety teams, but also strengthens our commitment to delivering leading-edge capability and safety enhancements to our clients,” said Patrick O’Brien, director of Flight Operations.

This advanced special authorisation issued under Execaire Aviation’s air operator certificate will serve as the operational template for expanding RNP AR authorisation across additional fleet types. Including other long-range business jets, said Execaire.

RNP AR approaches allow for highly precise, curved and repeatable flight paths into challenging airports and environments.

This capability enhances operational flexibility, enables more efficient routing, reduces environmental impact and increases approach reliability, particularly in mountainous or terrain-restricted regions.

“Adding this special authorisation to our AOC underscores our commitment to maximising the capabilities of our installed equipment while enhancing safety through the modernisation of aircraft technology,” concluded O’Brien.
