The EBACE event is to merge with the Air Ops conference.

The Air Ops conference is to merge with the annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), according to the organiser of both events – the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).

Robert Baltus, chief operations officer, EBAA, said: “We have a powerful vision for the future of our flagship event and bringing Air Ops into EBACE25 marks the first step in an exciting new direction and the first of several changes to the EBACE format.”

Combining both events next year will bring the sector together in a way never seen before, said Baltus. “This fresh format gives people the ability to strengthen relationships and engage in conversations that will unlock new opportunities within the business aviation ecosystem,” he added.

The EBACE show next year will again be staged at Geneva’s Palexpo exhibition and congress centre between May 20th to 22nd. Next year’s show will include an Air Ops zone, featuring conference sessions and workshops. Topics will feature best practice for ground handlers, airports, FBOs, trip planners and operators.

Meanwhile, the decision to merge both events follows the news in August that EBAA had acquired the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA’s) interest in the Geneva event. The deal made EBAA the sole producer of all future editions of EBACE.

Speaking at the time, Holger Krahmer, the association’s secretary general said: “EBAA is looking forward to building upon this amazing platform, establishing the new EBACE as the leading hub for Europe’s business aviation professionals in ways that reflect the unique nature of business aviation in Europe.”
