Taylor left GE Corporate Aircraft Finance in Sydney 18 months ago and has been working in the private office of one of his former clients.
While it has always been active internationally, US clients have historically accounted for 75% to 80% of all Bank of America’s deals. In the last two years this has shifted dramatically. In the first six months of 2010 the bank split its lending equally between the US and international markets.
Taylor is the third senior hire for Bank of America Merrill Lynch’S international corporate aircraft team this year.
In February Alex Badran joined as head of international sales in the bank’s London office. He joined from Cessna Finance Corporation. The bank also hired Rob Derbyshire from GE corporate aircraft finance in July as a vice president.
