Daher upgrades Kodiak models, predicts higher deliveries

Daher announced avionics and systems upgrades for its Kodiak 900 and 100 Series III this week at Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo in Florida alongside a delivery forecast for 2025.
The improvements, which involve both standard and optional equipment, are being applied on new Kodiaks delivered beginning this year from Daher’s manufacturing and assembly facility in Idaho.
Nicolas Chabbert, Daher Aircraft CEO said: “The Kodiak is benefitting once again from Daher’s commitment to continual improvement across its product lines, reflecting advancements in technology and systems, as well as meeting the evolving operational requirements of our customers.”
Chabbert also announced a delivery target of 30 Kodiak aircraft in 2025, a 15% increase from the previous year. The firm also plans to deliver 62 TBM 960s from its facility in Tarbes, France, an increase of nearly 11% from 2024.
Upgrades include Garmin’s GDL 60 datalink and PlaneSync technology. This enables wireless downloads of navigation and database updates, automatic database logging for flight and engine performance tracking, along with remote access and aircraft wake-up for the check of fuel and system status via 4G LTE or Wi-Fi. Also available is an ADS-B OFF mode for special mission operations.
Additionally, the Kodiak models are getting new external lights from Whelen Aerospace Technologies.
An optional package for the Kodiak models offers Garmin’s GWX 8000 StormOptix doppler weather radar, GRA55 radar altimeter and a GTX345D diversity transponder.
The Kodiak 100 Series III is also upgrading to an MD302 Standby Attitude Module and MD32 magnetometer, already found on the Kodiak 900.
