Gogo appoints Chris Moore CEO following Satcom acquisition

Chicago-based in-flight connectivity services provider Gogo has announced leadership changes appointing Chris Moore, previously president of Satcom Direct, as the new CEO of the combined company.
Oakleigh Thorne, former CEO of Gogo, will transition to the role of executive chair of the Gogo Board of Directors.
Moore brings a wealth of experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry to his new role. He is expected to lead the combined company in delivering innovative in-flight connectivity solutions to the global business aviation and military/government mobility markets.
In addition to the CEO appointment, Gogo has named Zachary Cotner as the new chief financial officer (CFO). Cotner previously held the same position at Satcom Direct. Oakleigh Thorne expressed gratitude for Jessi Betjemann’s contributions as Gogo’s former CFO and wished her well in her future endeavours.
Mike Begler, formerly senior vice president of production operations at Gogo, has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of the combined company.
Thorne also reiterated his commitment to Gogo’s continued success as executive chair.
