Gogo completes acquisition of Satcom

Inflight connectivity services provider Gogo today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Satcom Direct.

By combining Gogo’s advanced technology with Satcom’s extensive customer base and global reach, the company aims to deliver cutting-edge connectivity solutions to a diverse range of customers, including business aviation.

The acquisition, announced in September earlier this year, brings together two industry leaders, enabling Gogo to offer a comprehensive suite of connectivity solutions, including high-speed broadband, voice, and data services.

Gogo aims to leverage Satcom Direct’s strong presence in the business aviation market and Gogo’s innovative technology, the combined company aims to accelerate the adoption of advanced connectivity solutions and enhance the overall passenger experience.

The financial terms of the acquisition include a cash payment of $375m and the issuance of 5m shares of Gogo stock.

Additionally, Gogo may pay up to an additional $225m based on the achievement of specific performance targets over the next four years.
