Vector Aerospace Engine Services – Atlantic recently hosted a PT6A customer day event at its designated overhaul facility (DOF) in Johannesburg, South Africa. The event was facilitated by Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC).

“I am extremely pleased to report that the PT6A Customer Day event at our shop in Johannesburg, South Africa was a huge success,” says Jeff Poirier, president of Vector Aerospace Engine Services -Atlantic. “The event was an excellent opportunity for existing and potential customers to learn more about the PT6A turboprop engine and meet with true turboprop experts. We were very fortunate to have a representative from P&WC’s customer service team, along with members from Vector’s team on hand during the Customer Day to discuss the PT6A engine and to provide a complete overview of the engine’s operation and maintenance.”

“The value added for me personally by attending the PT6A Customer Day event was the opportunity to network with other people in the aircraft engine industry, “ says Theo Prinsloo, military contracts manager with Execujet South Africa. “I also received very positive feedback from technicians who were in attendance regarding the technical content provided during the day. I sincerely congratulate Vector Aerospace for hosting such a terrific event.”

Vector has two facilities in Africa; a DOF in Johannesburg, South Africa and a service centre in Nairobi, Kenya. The Johannesburg shop offers operators throughout the region complete overhaul services on many P&WC PT6A engines, and field service offerings on the P&WC JT15D and PW100 engine series while the Nairobi shop offers field service and engine line maintenance repairs on the P&WC PT6A and PW100 engine series.
