Tom Captain joins Spike as executive advisor

Tom Captain has joined Spike Aerospace as an executive advisor. Spike Aerospace is one of several companies currently building a supersonic business jet.

Captain (pictured) had previously served as the vice chairman of Deloitte’s global aerospace and defense practice.

“Having Tom Captain’s experience, connections and knowledge of the industry is going to be invaluable in helping Spike achieve its vision of advancing aviation with supersonic flight. We are looking forward to his insights,” said Vik Kachoria, president and CEO of Spike Aerospace.

Spike is aiming to fly a small-scale demonstrator of its S-512 supersonic business jet before the end of 2018.

“Spike Aerospace has put together a world-class team to design and bring to market the world’s first quiet supersonic jet. I love their vision and am very excited to bring my industry experience to help them successfully execute their plans,” said Captain.
