Textron Aviation receives Australian regulatory approval across three service centres
The certification is significant given the scale of Textron Aviation’s installed base in the country.
Textron Aviation has received Civil Aviation Safety Authority Part 145 approval for its Australian maintenance organisation, covering its service centres in Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast – establishing what the company describes as one of the most comprehensive OEM-owned maintenance footprints in Australia.
The CASA Part 145 designation recognises that Textron Aviation’s systems, personnel and processes meet Australia’s regulatory standards for performing and certifying aircraft maintenance. The approval covers maintenance, modifications, overhaul services and aircraft-on-ground support across all three locations.
The certification is significant given the scale of Textron Aviation’s installed base in the country.
More than 1,400 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft operate in Australia, making local factory-direct maintenance access a practical priority for a large number of operators.
The approval follows the opening of Textron Aviation’s Melbourne service centre earlier this year, which was referenced during the company’s second-quarter earnings call as part of its broader effort to expand its global service footprint in the Asia-Pacific region.
