Bombardier named StandardAero as authorised service centre for CF34 business aircraft engines

GE has named StandardAero Business
Aviation as an authorised service centre for CF34-3 engines, which power
Bombardier’s Challenger series.

“StandardAero has been
a long-time partner in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GE CF34
engine, last month announcing the delivery of our 1000th engine,” said
Scott Taylor, senior vice president, business aviation, StandardAero. “For
years our Airlines and Fleets sector in Winnipeg
has enjoyed a robust partnership; we aim to replicate that relationship within
Business Aviation. Our knowledge and experience of the engine and our proven
track record make today’s announcement a win-win for both companies.
We’re excited about this new opportunity and look forward to adding the
CF34-powered Challenger to our service portfolio.”

“GE and StandardAero have a long-standing relationship, and the authorized
CF34 service center designation is a natural fit,” said Brad Mottier, vice
president and general manager of GE Aviation’s Business & General Aviation
organization. “StandardAero has extensive expertise with the CF34 engine
line, and our customers will have another high-quality service center to help
them with their line maintenance needs.”
