Signature acquires two Mobile facilities

Signature Flight Support has acquired Mobile Air Center and Downtown Air Center from Azalea Aviation

Signature Flight Support has
acquired two FBOs from Azalea Aviation, Mobile
Air Center
and Downtown Air Center.

The Mobile Air Center facility features 60,000 sq. ft.
of hangars and 16,000 sq. ft. of executive terminal and customer offices. Mobile Air
Center offers line
maintenance services for turbine and piston powered aircraft.

The Downtown Air
Center is over 45,000 sq.
ft. of hangar space including a newly constructed 16,800 sq. ft. hangar.

Commenting on the acquisition, S. Michael Scheeringa, president of Signature
Flight Support stated, “The Mobile, Alabama facilities bring two important
locations to our Southeast region and the greater Signature network.  We
welcome Taylor and his staff at both Mobile
Air Center
and Downtown Air Center
to the Signature family and look forward to growing business at both locations
through the power of Signature’s global network and the Signature Service
Promise.”
 
Taylor Morrissette also noted, “We have enjoyed our twenty plus years of
operations at the Mobile airports and look
forward to the great growth opportunities provided by the Signature network.

The Mobile Airport Authority executive director, Bill Sisson said “The
Morrissettes have been outstanding tenants of the Mobile Airport Authority and
have provided excellent service to the Mobile
community.  We look forward to that tradition continuing with Signature.
