Jet Aviation Launches Full Operations at Miami-Opa Locka
Design of the latest facility has been inspired by the “classic Miami aesthetic”, said the company.
Jet Aviation’s new FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport is fully operational.
The 27-acre facility features an 8,500sqft terminal, 40,000sqft of new hangarage and a wide range of customer amenities, according to the General Dynamics company.
The opening was celebrated at an on-site event hosted on Thursday, July 23rd, attended by Jet Aviation president Jeremie Caillet and senior vice president and general manager of Americas David Best.

Jet Aviation launched initial operations at the site in November 2025 with a temporary terminal building. Today, the facility features a new FBO building, new hangarage with 30ft doors for aircraft parking, a 540,000sqft ramp able to accommodate larger-cabin, ultra-long range business jets, two taxiway connections into the airport system, fuelling with Jet-A, 100LL and sustainable aviation fuel and drive-on access to the ramp via a private entrance.
On-site customs and border protection is scheduled to open in the third-quarter of 2026.

Jet Aviation has had a presence in South Florida since opening an FBO in Palm Beach in 1985. Design of the latest facility has been inspired by the “classic Miami aesthetic”, said the company. It offers an an open-plan layout and floor-to-ceiling windows providing airside views to the ramp and runway.
A range of amenities includes dedicated office spaces, guest and crew lounge areas and a private conference room. The facility is built to LEED standards and integrates features such as solar panels, low-flow water features, LED lighting, availability of AV and EV chargers and sustainable construction methodologies.
Today, the company operates 12 FBOs in the US, as part of a network of some 30 worldwide, and recently announced the signing of a long-term lease for an FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, scheduled to launch in 2028.
The 15-acre facility will include a 7,500sqft FBO terminal, 70,000sqft of hangar space and over 200,000sqft of ramp. Ground is expected to break in early 2027.
