Jet Aviation signs 30-year lease for new FBO at Rocky Mountain Airport

Jet Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, operates more than 50 locations worldwide with over 4,500 employees.

Jet Aviation has signed a 30-year lease to operate a new FBO at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport near Denver, with operations scheduled to launch in 2028.

The 15-acre facility will include a 7,500sqft FBO terminal, 70,000sqft of hangar space and over 200,000sqft of ramp. Ground is expected to break in early 2027. Located on the south side of the airfield, it offers access to downtown Denver and nearby ski destinations including Aspen and Vail.

The FBO is part of a new aviation campus jointly developed by SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI) and Business Aviation Group, with Jet Aviation as the anchor operator.

“With its proximity to both the city and surrounding ski areas, Rocky Mountain Airport continues to grow as a key hub for our US and international customers,” said David Best, senior vice president regional operations and GM Americas. “The facility will join a network of 12 FBOs in the region, and some 30 worldwide.”
