Hawker acquires first aircraft for 400XPR programme
Hawker Beechcraft Services has acquired the first test aircraft and started
initial design engineering on its US2.24 million high performance upgrade
package for the Hawker 400XP / Beechjet 400A.
The package was announced at the 2010 NBAA convention in October. The
400XPR programme should be certified in 2012 and the main upgrades are
replacing the existing Pratt & Whitney JT15 engines with more modern fuel
efficient Williams FJ-44 powerplants and with the addition of composite
winglets.
