Gulfstream Lincoln gains Chinese approval
Gulfstream’s maintenance facility in Lincoln, California has gained approval from China’s CAAC to repair components on Chinese-registered Gulfstream business jets.
Under the certificate, the Lincoln facility can work on more than 150 parts associated with the Gulfstream G550, G450, G280, G200, GV and GIV aircraft models. Gulfstream’s China fleet has grown from 15 aircraft in 2009 to approximately 100 in 2015.
Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream product support said: “Whether it is component maintenance at Gulfstream Lincoln or airframe maintenance at our Gulfstream Long Beach Service Center, providing Product Support options on the West Coast of the US is more convenient for our China-based operators.”
“We will continue to expand our capabilities list at Lincoln to support our customers’ needs,” added Burns.
The facility is instrumental in supporting Gulfstream’s global stocking strategy with a $34 million parts inventory that includes alternators, converters, avionics, wheels and brakes. Gulfstream Lincoln has more than 1,000 approved part numbers on its current capabilities list.
Gulfstream Lincoln, which is located near Lincoln Regional Airport, offers pickup and delivery service for wheels, brakes and other components at general aviation airports around California, including Van Nuys, Burbank, Camarillo, Stockton and San Jose.
