FlightSafety International’s first Gulfstream G650 simulator located in Savannah has been qualified by EASA

FSI G650 simulatorFlightSafety International has announced that its first Gulfstream G650 aircraft flight simulator has been qualified by EASA. The simulator is located at the FlightSafety learning centre in Savannah, Georgia.

“EASA qualification of our first Gulfstream G650 aircraft simulator demonstrates the fidelity of the device and our close working relationship with Gulfstream throughout the development and certification of the G650 aircraft,” said Bruce Whitman, president and chief executive.

He continued “We look forward to providing our mutual Customers with G650 training using the two full flight simulators.”

Evaluation and qualification of the Gulfstream G650 simulator by the FAA is scheduled to take place later this month and be completed prior to the start of Customer training.

FlightSafety’s second Gulfstream G650 simulator will be installed in Savannah
in a few weeks.  A third Gulfstream G650 simulator will be added in 2013. The location of the third simulator will be based on customer requirements.
