The first production HondaJet made its public debut at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014, as the eagerly-anticipated $4.5 million private jet looks on track to enter into service in 2015.

Honda Aircraft held an event to celebrate the arrival of the aircraft, when concluded with a flight demonstration, including high and low speed passes.

Michimasa Fujino, president and CEO of Honda Aircraft, said: “EAA AirVenture Oshkosh has been the setting of several HondaJet firsts and in many ways, this event was the true beginning of Honda’s aviation venture.’

“We decided to debut the first production HondaJet here as part of Honda’s commitment to inspire others through the power and realization of our dreams,” added Fujino.

In May, Fujino told Corporate jet Investor that the HondaJet will make its European debut at next year’s EBACE show.
