Falcon 900LX on track for 2010 delivery

Dassault says the first Falcon 900LX will be certified in the last quarter of 2010. Deliveries to customers will start soon after certification.

he aircraft’s maiden flight was in October 2009 and since then it has flown 72 times for over 180 hours.
Dassault says that it is outperforming Falcon 900EX EASy aircraft that it replaces.
“Our thorough flight test program has demonstrated the improved efficiencies of the Falcon 900LX,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. “Falcon 900LX operators will be confident in the fact that they operate the most efficient airplane in its class. It burns less fuel and creates fewer emissions. That’s a very positive message in today’s closely scrutinized business world.”
By adding winglets, from Aviation Partners Boeing, to the Falcon 900EX EASy body, the Falcon 900LX has 5% less drag and can climb to cruising speed faster. Dassault says this means that the Falcon 900LX is as much as 60% more efficient than competitor aircraft.
The manufacturer says it has a 4,750 nautical mile range allowing it to fly between cities like: New York and Moscow; Paris and Beijing; Washington and Sao Paulo, Dubai and Tokyo and Caracas and Geneva.
