Eclipse Aerospace is set to acquire aftermarket parts and components maker Resurgent Aviation Solutions (RAS).

The agreement, announced on October 9th, 2026, follows Resurgent’s announcement in May 2026 to liquidate all assets and cease operations, which threatened the airworthiness of the remaining fleet of about 260 Eclipse 500s and 550s.

Ed Lundeen, chief operating officer, Eclipse Aerospace said: “We see value in acquiring certain STCs, technologies, methods and repair processes RAS developed that will allow Eclipse to provide a high level of integrated support for our Eclipse 500 owners, operators and world-wide service centres.”

Eclipse said it intends to continue operating the Part 145 repair centre and the FAA Production Approval Holder (PAH) authority for new parts under the RAS name. It is also “very likely” the company will continue these operations in the same location presently occupied by RAS.

Cary Winter, founder and principal of RAS: “Ten years ago, we started RAS at a time when the Eclipse community urgently needed support and help in maintaining their aircraft. Thanks to a very dedicated and hardworking team, we were successful in our efforts. Today, it’s highly unlikely that an Eclipse 500 exists that doesn’t have a RAS STC or repaired part on it.

“Over the years we have developed a mutually beneficial working relationship with Eclipse Aerospace. Today’s announcement is the culmination of our joint efforts to maintain the value and economics of the aircraft.”

RAS has developed multiple repair processes that have allowed for faster and more cost-effective repair of line-replaceable unit (LRU) components, as well as manufacturing new Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) parts.

“We are very aware of RAS’ place in the Eclipse 500 ecosystem, and the importance of RAS products and services to our customers. We’re pleased to come to agreement with Eclipse Aerospace, the one company as committed to the aircraft as we are,” added Winter.

Resurgent Aviation Solutions was advised by Kenneth Ross of KRG Consultants, and Eclipse Aerospace was advised by James Cooling of Cooling-Herbers Law.
