Directional Aviation, the owner of companies such as Flexjet, Flight Options and Nextant Aerospace, has launched Skyjet, a new brand that consolidates the private charter businesses in the Directional Aviation family.

Richman said:“At Skyjet, we will offer a simple promise. We provide private jet fliers ‘Expertise on Demand’ for each and every trip. Our clients have immediate 24/7 access to dedicated teams of seasoned aviation experts whose sole focus is providing a flawless travel experience.”

“Skyjet is already one of the largest jet charter companies with a team of 35 professionals and more than 1,000 clients. We are looking forward to continued growth as we lead the industry into a new era of private jet travel. As part of the Directional Aviation family of companies, we are thrilled to have access to the resources required to develop innovative and personalized tools to allow private air travelers to effortlessly access our services in a truly on-demand style,” Richman added.

Richman originally joined Sentient Jet in 2004 and was named managing director in 2012. He will now oversee all of Skyjet’s business operations.

Kenn Ricci, principal of Directional Aviation, said: “We are constantly evolving our understanding of the private aviation marketplace and are evaluating how we can best meet the needs of private jet travellers.”

“Our analyses showed that there continues to be substantial opportunity in the highly fragmented on-demand charter market. Our answer is Skyjet. Having a brand solely focused on this segment will give private charter travelers the flexibility to fly when they want, how they want, with no upfront commitment.

“There is nobody who knows the charter marketplace as well as Greg Richman, and there is nobody with more passion to improve upon it. The next few months will be very exciting as we continue to evolve and unveil all that the Skyjet team will have to offer,” added Ricci.
