David Coleal, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft

David Coleal is replacing Éric Martel as president of Bombardier Business Aircraft. He will take over on June 15. Martel had been at Bombardier for 13 years. He became head of Bombardier Business Aircraft in January 2014.

Trevor Lambarth, the extremely highly regarded vice president, of sales, for EMEA is also believed to have left the OEM. “Lambarth is one of the best and nicest guys in Europe,” said one broker. Lambarth joined Short Brothers (which became part of Bombardier) in 1988.

Coleal joined Bombardier in 2008 from Cirrus where he COO and president. He was also president and general manager of Spirit Aerosystems and vice president for Learjet.

In the press release Bombardier said: “Today, Alain Bellemare, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bombardier Inc., took another step to strengthen his leadership team with the appointment of David Coleal.” Bombardier has also hired Jean-Paul Pellissier, former SVP at Dassault, to review its supply chain.
