Bryan Moss, Guggenheim Business Aircraft Bryan Moss, former president of Gulfstream Aerospace, has become chairman of Guggenheim Partners Business Aircraft Investments.

Guggenheim re-entered the business jet finance market in 2010 and has closed a number of large cabin aircraft deals in the Middle East, Asia and Russia.

“The business aircraft industry is an area where we believe Guggenheim can add value as an industry participant and create attractive investment opportunities for our committed constituency,” says Todd Boehly, president of Guggenheim Partners. “Bryan has long played a key role in the industry’s growth, and he will be an invaluable resource to Guggenheim as we continue to grow our presence in the business.  We are thrilled to welcome him to our family.”

Although the credit-worthiness of borrowers is important, Guggenheim Business Aircraft Investments is principally an asset based lender. Its first deals include the financing of a G650, including pre-delivery finance. Moss joins a team headed by Jim Crowley, managing director, Chris Miller, managing director and Don Walsh, a director.

“In addition to its longstanding success in commercial aircraft investments through its Guggenheim Aviation Partners unit, Guggenheim plays an essential role in the business aircraft industry – providing investment capital, liquidity and resources,” says Moss. “They have built a top-notch team and a solid platform, and I’m excited to be a part of this endeavor.”

Moss was vice chairman, president and finally president emeritus of Gulfstream Aerospace. Before Gulfstream he was president of Bombardier’s Business Aircraft Division. He began his 40-year career at Lockheed-Georgia Company.

He also served on several international councils including the US-China Business Council and the Council on Foreign Relations Mid-East Peace Process International Advisory Board.

Moss is also on the Board of Directors of RTI International, a metal supplier to aerospace companies, and on the advisory boards of Jet Support Services and Duncan Aviation.
