Baker Aviation has secured a deal for 20 Bombardier Challenger 300 aircraft from Flexjet as the charter operator looks to expand its fleet.

The aircraft will begin charter operations in 2026 in addition to four other Challenger 300s acquired in 2025. The company currently has a fleet of 24 super-midsize aircraft

“This is a defining moment for Baker Aviation,” said Tim Livingston, president and CEO. “The Challenger 300 is a proven performer, and bringing these additional aircraft into our existing fleet of 24 super mid-size aircraft allows us to offer even greater reliability, flexibility and premium service to charter brokers.”

Flexjet’s ongoing fleet modernisation initiative made the deal possible, allowing Baker Aviation to absorb the Challenger 300s as part of its strategic expansion.

Mike Silvestro, Flexjet CEO, said: “Flexjet is committed to the ongoing modernisation of our fleet, ensuring our owners have access to the most prestigious and technologically advanced aircraft available. This partnership with Baker Aviation allows these Challenger 300s to remain a productive part of the private aviation ecosystem, supporting our long-term fleet strategy, and the broader demand for premium midsize aircraft.”

West Elk Aviation served as the transaction advisor, structuring the multi-party agreement.

Troy Lawson, partner at West Elk Aviation, said: “This partnership is a prime example of aligning the needs of multiple stakeholders to create lasting value. Our role was to ensure efficient execution while supporting Baker Aviation’s ambitious vision and Flexjet’s fleet management strategy.”
