It has stayed committed to airlines for over 30 years and has also been behind many innovative deals including the first export credit bonds. The aviation group has teams in Paris, New York, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
The same team also finances business jets but has tighter restrictions. It will only finance existing corporate clients or private banking clients. Crédit Agricole CIB will only offer full recourse loans and will not take asset risks.
The bank is open about its conservative approach and is a very selective lender.
