The 2023 NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas was the debut launch for the new CJ3 Gen2 mock-up and the first example is expected to enter service in 2025.

The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 is designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. company.

Textron Aviation announched flyExecutive  at NBAA as the North American launch customer in 2025 and that Hahn Air of Germany was the European launch customerin 2026.

The Cons

Some say it is just anther Citation, but there are differences and improvements, more legroom in the pilot’s cockpit, autithrottles to help flight crew workload. In the passenger cabin, nine seats with the ability to charge phone and Ipad devices from each seat, improved lighting. Owners and operators have a choice of a bench seat or an extra storage cabinet in the passenger cabin.
