Surack hires Robert Flansburg as VP aviation

Executive-level experience aside, Flansburg is a private pilot and "avid explorer".
Surack Enterprises has hired Robert Flansburg as vice president of aviation as it better looks to serve Midwest customers.
Flansburg will be responsible for developing strategy, ensuring FAA compliance, safety initiatives and managing budgets across all of Surack’s aviation businesses, including Sweet Aviation and Sweet Helicopters.
Through Sweet Aviation and Sweet Helicopters, Surack provides fixed-wing and helicopter flight schools, charter services, maintenance services and FBO operations across five Indiana locations.
Flansburg previously held executive roles at L3Harris, Boeing, Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin. He is also a certified private pilot.
“I am thrilled to join the Surack Enterprises aviation team,” he said. “Sweet Aviation and Sweet Helicopters have introduced incredible opportunities for both travellers and aspiring pilots across the region. I look forward to further developing Northeast Indiana’s vibrant and thriving aviation scene.”
Surack Enterprises founder and CEO Chuck Surack added: “Robert Flansburg is a tremendous addition to the Surack Enterprises leadership team. He brings a fresh, strategic perspective to our operations while displaying a strict adherence to detail and prioritisation of safety.”
