Textron Aviation rolls out 500th Cessna Citation Latitude

The Citation Latitude entered service in 2015 and has built a large global operator base.

Textron Aviation has rolled out the 500th Cessna Citation Latitude from its Wichita, Kansas manufacturing facility, marking a production milestone for the midsize business jet.

“The rollout of the 500th Citation Latitude is a testament to the employees who build this aircraft with dedication and pride every day,” said Eric Cardinali, senior vice president of Manufacturing. “This milestone is only possible because of the skill of our workforce and the trust customers continue to place in our products.”

“Customers around the world continue to choose the Latitude because it delivers the comfort, versatility and value they need to accomplish their missions with confidence,” said Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president of Global Sales and Marketing.

The Citation Latitude entered service in 2015 and has built a large global operator base on the strength of its stand-up flat-floor cabin, short-field performance and midsize economics.

The aircraft seats up to nine passengers, cruises at 446 ktas, has a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles and a take-off field length of 3,580 feet. This has made the aircraft a popular choice across corporate, charter and owner-operator segments.

The milestone comes as Textron Aviation continues to develop the next generation of its light jet family, with the Gen3 Citation programme, including the CJ3, CJ4 and M2, currently in-flight test and on track for entry into service in 2027.
