Jet Aviation has acquired AstonSky’s ground handling, hangarage and FBO operations at Paris-Le Bourget Airport, France.

The FBO is located 7km (4.3miles) north of Paris and offers ground handling services for passengers, crew and aircraft, including 3,500sqm of hangar space, offices and on-site car parking.

“We are committed to pursuing opportunities to support our customers where and when they need us,” said Vincent Rongier, senior vice president regional operations EMEA, Jet Aviation. “As the busiest business aviation airport in Europe, Paris-Le Bourget is a very important destination for many of our customers, and adding this location to our network of some 30 FBOs gives us another flagship destination in EMEA.”

The facility, which first opened in 2019, joins Jet Aviation’s network of 11 FBOs in EMEA, and some 30 FBOs worldwide.

Joao Martins, vice president FBO Operations, Europe, and general manager, Zurich, Jet Aviation, said: “AstonSky have built a fantastic reputation for the highest standards of safety, service, and attention to detail. Their commitment to a seamless customer experience is a fantastic complement to the promise we make across our network, and we look forward to welcoming them into the Jet Aviation family and working together to build on this, and to welcome customers as their partner of choice in Paris.”

Meanwhile, in June, Jet Aviation’s Staffing Marketplace was integrated with Portside’s fight management system Avianis to improve staffing efficiency for operators.

Avianis users can now connect to Jet Aviation Staffing Marketplace to create job postings directly from their Avianis profile. The integration also offers direct access to Jet Aviation Staffing Marketplace’s centralised recruitment platform enabling users to manage hiring needs without leaving their Avianis profile.
