Hongkong Jet acquires San Marino AOC

Hongkong Jet has acquired an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from San Marino and will begin by operating a Hawker 850XP aircraft.
The certificate allows Hong Kong-based company to commercially operate business jets, including aircraft charters, under the San Marino T7 registration.
It says the move both expands its service portfolio and offers clients more flexibility and options.
“It marks a significant milestone for the company, particularly as we celebrate our 16th anniversary this year,” said chairman of Hongkong Jet, Alex Jiao.
More than 450 aircraft hold San Marino’s T7 registry, up from 200 in 2012, says the company.
“We anticipate an increase in clients opting for the AOC, particularly those interested in large-cabin aircraft, as it allows aircraft owners to optimize the use of their assets,” added Jiao.
In January, the company took delivery of Asia’s first Gulfstream G700 to add to its managed fleet.
Hongkong Jet is headquartered in Hong Kong, with branches established in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Its services include aircraft management, aircraft maintenance, aircraft charter and consultancy.
The Hawker 850XP aircraft is a mid-sized business jet well suited for flights up to five hours, making it an excellent option for medium-haul travel, says the company.
