Wijet, the French air-taxi operator, has placed an order for up to 16 HondaJets to replace current Citation Mustang fleet.

Delivery of the first aircraft is currently scheduled to take place before the end of March 2018, with the remaining deliveries spread out over 18-months.

The deal is worth $78 million at list price, although Wijet is likely to have received discounts for ordering a number of aircraft.

“I am delighted that Wijet has chosen the HondaJet to provide their customers with the exceptional experience of the most advanced light jet on the market,” said Michimasa Fujino, president & CEO, Honda Aircraft “I am confident the HondaJet will meet and exceed their expectations with its quietest, most spacious and most comfortable cabin in its class combined with unrivalled speed, efficiency, and amenities like a fully-private lavatory and WiFi connectivity.”

The order was announced during the 2018 Singapore Air Show, with Wijet saying it will use the HondaJets to replace the current all-Citation Mustang fleet.

Wijet currently operate a small fleet of its own Citation Mustang business jets. In September 2016 the company purchased UK-based Mustang specialist Blink, expanding its fleet to 15 aircraft.
