STA Jets acquires Colorado’s International Jet

The acquisition marks the company’s second Rocky Mountain location.
STA Jets has agreed to acquire International Jet, a Centennial, Colorado-based private aviation company founded in 1979, adding a Rocky Mountain presence to the Southern California operator’s growing national network.
The deal brings charter, aircraft management and aircraft sales capabilities under the STA umbrella, alongside International Jet’s private passenger terminal at Centennial Airport and a fleet spanning turboprops to large-cabin jets. International Jet has been the longest-tenured company at Centennial Airport since becoming its first charter Learjet operator in 1980 and has completed more than 10,000 medical transports over a 25-year period.
“For 47 years, International Jet has earned the trust of its clients through safety, service, and consistency,” said Kurt Belcher, founder of STA Jets. “That legacy is exactly what makes this partnership compelling. We’re committed to preserving what makes International Jet exceptional while adding the scale, resources, and reach of the STA network.”
International Jet holds FAA Part 135 certification and has earned the industry’s Diamond Award of Excellence for its maintenance programme. Flight coordinators operate from its Centennial base.
STA Jets is headquartered at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California, with additional operations in Van Nuys, San Jose, New York and Fort Lauderdale.
The acquisition marks the company’s second Rocky Mountain location.
