Rockwell Collins has announced a series of high-definition (HD) cabin management and entertainment system upgrades for Gulfstream aircraft originally delivered with ACMS and Micronet systems.

These upgrade are available through Gulfstream service centres or Rockwell Collins-authorised dealers.

Rockwell Collins offers packages that range from a simple refresh of the base systems for cabin control to a more robust package that includes its Venue HD system.

Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager, Flight Controls and Information Systems for Rockwell Collins said: “Upgrading cabins to match the home entertainment or office experience that Venue delivers weighs heavy on the minds of legacy Gulfstream aircraft owners, but budgets can sometimes limit what they can do. Now, with a series of upgrade options, even budget-conscious owners can modernize their cabins and set the building blocks for more upgrades in the future.”

Irmen added that major maintenance inspections provide the perfect opportunity to update cabins—saving time and money—and many legacy Gulfstream aircraft with ACMS and Micronet are due for inspection in the next few years.
