Oriens and Spain's CMA offer new Flexiable Based Operations concept building.

Flexible Based OperationsOriens Advisors and Cesar Martinell &
Associates (CMA) have launched a new airport construction concept, the Flexible
Based Operations building has been designed for the aviation industry and is a
semi-permanent structure offering the same facilities as a traditional FBO.

The modern and attractive building can be
erected in as little as two weeks and has been designed to offer a high quality
temporary structure that is flexible in size, with an option that the building might  remain in
place for a number of years. The partners expect small airports, existing FBOs looking
to expand their facilities quickly or who may urgently need a solution to
handle more movements coinciding with events (motor races and the 2012
Olympics, for example).

The building’s design was inspired by the Gaudi
school of architecture, combined with modern day technology. Electricity will
be generated from solar panels that form the roof and rain water can be collected
and recycled. The design shape of the building reduces running costs and makes
the most of natural light.
