NetJets’ Blue Skies enrolment up over 60%

NetJets’ first biannual update of its Global Sustainability Program has a seen a 61% increase in enrolment in the Blue Skies carbon offset scheme. Blue Skies encourages owners to take responsibility for the environmental impact of their flight by purchasing the equivalent amount of carbon credits to ensure their flight is carbon neutral.

Over the past six months in the US, Blue Skies customers have flown approximately 750,000 nautical miles with SAF, offset 38,543t of CO2 and had 7,650 carbon neutral flight hours purchased.

Since the Global Sustainability Program announcement, NetJets has acquired a stake in WasteFuel and also committed to purchase 100m gallons of SAF over the next decade.

NetJets Europe, which has been carbon neutral since 2012, offset 4,724t of carbon from October 2020 to February 2021 and now has offset over 1m metric tons in total.
