Liberty Jet is growing its profile in the Boston area with the addition to its charter fleet of a Wi-Fi enabled Citation XL business jet. The jet will be based at Bedford.

Last year, Liberty Jet opened a new office in Charlestown to focus on charter brokerage which has doubled in size.

“This medium-sized jet will allow us to better serve our new Boston area clients with more competitive pricing.”

Nathan McKelvey, president of jet memberships at Liberty Jet, said: “This medium-sized jet will allow us to better serve our new Boston area clients with more competitive pricing. We have seen triple-digit growth in our charter brokerage with the addition of our Boston area office and are equipping our fleet to handle the demand.”

The company is looking to acquire more managed aircraft in the Boston area to service the increase in demand. It is seeking aircraft owners who want to offset some of their jet expenses with charter revenue.
