LearJet 35A N17UF crash claims nine lives

A 1979-build LearJet 35A private jet (msn 35A-258 / N17UF) crashed during the evening of Sunday 9 November, claiming the lives of all nine persons on board the aircraft.

The aircraft was making the short hop from Lynden Pindling International Airport near Nassau, to Grand Bahama when the accident occurred.

The aircraft reportedly hit a crane on final approach to Grand Bahama International Airport and crashed into a nearby shipyard. The accident happened at 17:10 local time

According to an article posted by Reuters, renowned preacher and transformational leader Dr. Myles Munroe was on-board the aircraft at the time of the accident, along with his wife and daughter.

According to data collected by Corporate Jet Jet Investor, 2014 has been a particularly bad year for business jet crashes, with 49 loss of lives across 10 crashes.
