A joint venture called SSAS, formed by Jet Aviation, SATS Ltd and Universal Aviation Singapore, will manage a new business-aviation terminal at Singapore’s Seletar Airport.

The centre is due to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2018.

“Luxury travellers have specific needs and expectations. Combining SATS’ technological innovation and years of food solutions and gateway services experience with our partners’ knowledge of the private jet market, we will offer a bespoke travel experience that provides privileged comfort private jet travellers desire.” Said Bob Chi, chairman, SSAS.

Seletar International Airport is located in the north of the city. It is used predominantly by general aviation and business aircraft although a handful of airline operations use the airport.

Seletar’s rise in popularity came as Singapore’s main airport, Changi, is oversaturated by commercial airline flights.
