IBA Group expands in Asia

David Yu joins IBA as executive director, business development -Asia. Yu has extensive knowledge in aviation finance and leasing including deal origination, analysis, structuring, financing, and portfolio management.

Previous responsibilities include acting as Libra Group’s China chief representative and vice president Asia, where he regulated all Libra’s Asian interests including the growth of its aircraft leasing entity, Lease Corporation International.

Yu will continue to act in his current role as managing director of Inception Aviation. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. He will be based in Beijing and cover the Asia region.

President and COO Phil Seymour comments, “David’s appointment to IBA will significantly expand the services our business can provide to China and the surrounding region. We already have a strong footprint in Japan and Australia so David’s local knowledge and full time presence will build awareness of our services across all aviation sectors: from airline fleet assessments, aircraft acquisitions, disposals and redeliveries, to MRO support and advice.”
